NOT the son

edit

The article states the following two facts:

It has been a family run business since 1850.

and

Felix Grucci, the son of the company's founder who later became the head of the company himself, served one term in the US House of Representatives.

Expecting to find that this representative served in the late 1800's, I go to his wikipedia entry and find:

Felix J. Grucci, Jr. (born November 25, 1951) is a former United States Representative from East Patchogue, New York.

Assuming that the founder was 10 when he founded the company back in 1850, he must have been 111 when his son was born. I applaud his vitality, but question the accuracy of the statement that Felix Grucci was the son of the founder. He was more probably a great-grandson or the like.

Reworked article

edit

I rewrote the article extensively to make it sound less like an advertisement. It should now more closely follow Wikipedia's manual of style. I also added several other sources and expanded information in the original article. Wxkat (talk) 10:16, 5 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
