How silly will Wikipedia get? edit

We have numerous articles on wikipedia about things like particle physics which many lay persons wont understand, yet they dont flagged up as being hard to understand. Someone has flagged up on this article stating that someone might not know what a fire engine as the introduction does little to introduce someone unfamiliar to the subject of fire engines. This is depsite there being a link to the wiki article "Fire Engine". How silly this is - stuff like this makes Wikipedia is a laughing stock - all admins and contributors speak to the author before making silly and useless comments on peoples work. ADMINISTRATORS PLEASE THINK BEFORE ALTERING ARTICLES —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.244.223.82 (talk) 14:37, 4 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have to agree the wiki mafia ( a select few of admins and general contributors who think they have some kind of executive deciosin making powers) are very much over editing articles here on wikipedia yet will allow some other dubious or incomprehensible things to be shown. I am goping to get in touch with Jimmy Wales about this as some admins have become too over the top and need to be rained in a little. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.140.13.195 (talk) 18:50, 13 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Link to Bikesafe edit

I removed the link (but kept the text), then noticed it was mentioned on quite a few other pages, so I've added it to requested articles, I'll keep an eye on the situation and link when it's been done (I might do it myself, but it'll be my first article and thus not as good as it could be if somebody else started it). Heavier All-Wheel Drive? edit

While there is a section on Light Four-Wheel Drive Pump there seems to be no mention of larger All-Wheel Drive appliances (such as those based on the Unimog platform). --Thefrood (talk) 06:55, 14 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Channel Tunnel edit

Does anybody know anything that they could contribute to the article about the specialist appliances used by Kent Fire Service in the Channel Tunnel? --Thefrood (talk) 06:55, 14 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
