Duplicate articles
- There is a Fionnuala Flanagan article and a Fionnula Flanagan article. Which one is named correctly? -- Tough Little Ship 23:07, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
- Ms Flanagan is credited as "Fionnula" in the movie "The Others". I will deal with merging the two articles on my Christmas vacation. Thuresson 10:44, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

- At around 05:27, 28 January 2007 User:El chulito text-merged Fionnula Flanagan to Fionnuala Flanagan.
- At about 10 a.m. on 11 June 2008 I moved Fionnula Flanagan to Fionnula Flanagan (version 2) and then Fionnuala Flanagan to Fionnula Flanagan.
- Note: At 22:18, 12 April 2007 User:El chulito was blocked indefinitely as a sockpuppet of User:Rms125a@hotmail.com: see User talk:El chulito. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 09:09, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- Fionnuala is the correct and standard Irish spelling. Fionnula may have been a misspelling on the credits- it is a common way to mispell the name.
- It's spelled "Fionnula" in the credits of Waking Ned, too. Her real name is Fionnghuala; apparently she simplified that to Fionnula for the sake of moviegoers unfamiliar with Irish. Angr (talk) 15:20, 15 June 2013 (UTC)
