Hi, I'm almost certain there were headteachers before Chris Hunt - not sure about their names though. Mr. Knapp has been there since the beginning though, although he only became Deputy Head around 1998. He was acting head for a while too.

--- no Chris Hunt wasn't the first head; he started around 1988. Can't remember the name of the bloke before him. He had a beard. Answer - Geoffrey Smith preceded Chris Hunt. From Wakefield I think. Other senior teachers of the time included Mr Rowson and former Rugby Union international, Coventry R.F.C. Peter Rossborough.

Hi, There are 3 deputy headteachers (Not just Mr. Knapp). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.142.28.167 (talk) 16:45, 18 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Houses

edit

Originally, there were eight houses with 'groupings' of sorts. Termed Stretton/Leasowes, Ryton/Manor, Waverley/Stivichall/Cryfield & 'Kingswood?' The latter was dropped from 1984 for new starters, reducing the number to seven. They were all named after farms in Coventry/Warwickshire.

Do the houses each have a team colour?
Three of the houses are named after famous people. What or who is "Ada" named after? Snowman 10:13, 27 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

The houses do have a colour; Whittle: Red Newton : Blue Galileo : Green Ada : Yellow

Ada is named after Ada Lovelace, an Author. MonitorMonkey 21:19, 4 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Mrs Astling

edit

I found out earlier that Mrs Astling is the 3rd deputy head (I'm a student there), but I'm not sure how it's spelt, so i'll clarify it for tomorrow. Breadsticks.rock (talk) 09:59, 22 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sixth Form

edit

Being so the sixth form centres at Bishop Ullathorne and Finham are merged and people come from each of the schools to go to have their lessons, should this be mentioned? - Breadsticks.rock (talk) 15:58, 6 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
