[Untitled] edit
There is something slightly odd about the page history of this and Figure-Ground in that the article seems to have started at Figure-Ground with a logged-in user Rjessicaturner, then was copy-and-pasted to figure-ground by an anon user, before being moved here. --Henrygb 22:52, 2 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Robinson citation edit
Can someone who knows please put the full citation for "Robinson et al., 1995" mentioned in the body into the References section at the foot? Thanks. 24.155.88.186
Deprodding edit
While the article is somewhat essay-like and howto-like in tone and the writing style needs to be improved, I'm not convinced that this is synthesis. Here is an external link with a section on figure/ground relationships in maps. Emphasizing certain features in map design is certainly a notable aspect of cartography. A number of the article's sources look reliable to me. Because of these, I don't think WP:SYNTH is uncontroversial; this should probably be discussed at AfD. --Mark viking (talk) 20:25, 16 June 2013 (UTC)
