Field's themselves claims to be the largest shopping center in Scandinavia. Does anyone know how they measure that? Nordstan is obviously larger but also includes offices. Carewolf 09:56, 24 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
Nordstan seems larger to me: Total area size 320,000 m2 vs 115,000 m2, size of shopping area 70,000 m2 (including restaurants) vs. 65,000 m2 (excluding restaurants), ca 180 shops vs 140. I definitely don't see how Field's makes that claim. Subfuszion (talk) 21:37, 2 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Nordstan has never said they are the largest shopping mall in Scandinavia, but they say they are largest in Sweden. Fields is quite sure that it is the largest for SHOPPING in the region. They must be able to back this up or it is false advertising. All I know is they both seem massive . :)--122.57.183.206 (talk) 09:21, 17 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
^^Well... According to you, then wikipedia should say that Stockholm is the capital of Scandinavia, since their homepage [1] tells us so and that no other city makes this claim.
First: the claim is from their own website. Of course being the largest could be a working slogan. But can we be sure it is not false advertising if it is exerpted fron their own website?
Second: You say that the "shopping" is by far larger. In the opening week of Field's, they had 250.000 visistors. Supposing that this number was to be steady (highly unlikely) until today, they would have 13 million visitors annually. Nordstan has 35 million visitors annually. So if the shopping in Field's would be larger, each costumer would have to buy three times as much as their counterpart in Gothenburg. Nirro (talk) 20:51, 13 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
