This page should not be redirected from Ferrocalamus, because the genus has other species, and a novel species discovered in 2012] from Vietnam. The genus has therefore an obligation to stand on its own page.Chhandama (talk) 06:56, 29 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

The authors of that paper consider F. rimosivaginus a separate species, while The Plant List has it as a synonym of F. strictus. It looks like these authors may be splitters; it's not clear if their 3 species concept of the genus is generally accepted. Plantdrew (talk) 17:51, 12 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
