Please remove the irrelevant content concerning the 2014 shooting from the main article. Only a short information w/links to other Wikipedia pages should remain in the "History" section. Special information should be kept where it belongs. Those who feel they must post latest news about this case, please feel free to concentrate on editing the "Shooting of Michael Brown" page or "2014 Ferguson unrest" or any other relevant page of your choice. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:4240:5F52:9DA0:1:CB64:5C52:10A4 (talk) 20:22, 19 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. I came to the page to find out information about the town. Not a current event. --NickAtNight123 (talk) 05:35, 20 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

You can still get information about the town. The shooting has received significant national attention by the media, the President, the US Attorney General, and former Secretary of State. Is there anything in Ferguson's history that is more notable?- MrX 20:36, 29 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
I agree. Granted this page gets a lot more coverage with the recent events but this has been given undo space. However a reference maybe at the bottom of the page or a separate section at the bottom that discusses recent news making events might be helpful for redirecting.Gray106 (talk) 01:29, 24 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
Done That section has been significantly reduced from when this thread started. I think it's about at the right level now. Anything less would be whitewashing the history. The Dissident Aggressor 15:23, 24 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Should we mention Ronald J. Brockmeyer, the Ferguson judge who ows back taxes but jails people who owe moneyAllyn (talk) 07:26, 7 March 2015 (UTC)

Should we mention the Ferguson judge who ows a bunch in back taxes but who also jails indigents who cannot pay small fines? It looks like he's going viral on line now (Friday, Feb 6, 2015)
