Feodor Chaliapin Jr.Feodor Chaliapin, Jr. – Overwhelmingly with comma in the references, despite the trend to remove commas Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) (talk) 21:15, 2 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose – I'm wondering what sources nom is looking at. The two cited ELs in the articles omit the comma. Google search shows that only wikipedia, findagrave, and fandango use the comma (due to house style on the latter two). Great majority of books and magazines also omit the comma. But in any case, wikipedia has a house style, too, and it is to omit the comma, per WP:JR. Dicklyon (talk) 22:03, 2 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose per MOS:JR; Consensus has changed on this, following a shift in real-world usage over the last two decades ("the trend to remove commas" which the nom concedes is real), across all dialects and registers of English. There is no evidence that current sources overwhelmingly prefer the comma-laden spelling for this subject.  — SMcCandlish ¢ ≽ʌⱷ҅ʌ≼  23:06, 4 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
