Not done: please be more specific about what needs to be changed. "Please change X" is not acceptable and will be rejected; the request must be of the form "please change X to Y". GaneshBhakt (talk) 07:37, 16 June 2011 (UTC)

Edit request from Kpsm32, 16 June 2011

On the official setlist "Boys" must be changed into "Boys (Remix)" because it is indicated www.digitalspy.co.uk on the revealed setlist has "Boys" performed in the remix version. And also "S&M" must be changed to "S&M (Remix)" beacause Britney only sang on the remix version of it.

San Jose Review

I'm sorry, but that review should not be put on this page. The reviewer has a history of writing unnecessary negative reviews toward pop oriented artists, and there is so much proof through comments and footage attached to the review that a lot of information was made up. Using a review because he is a freelance writer does not make the review accurate. Also to further expand on the above comment, the writer starts the review saying the Good Morning America performance she gave in March was cut short at three songs. It is well known knowledge that GMA shows are only three songs in duration for every performance artist. I highly suggest it be removed from this article because it does not reflect a real critic's words and is full of inaccurate information that leads to false facts about the tour. Should include Vegas Reviews???

Positive reviews from Las Vegas Sun http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2011/jun/26/photos-britney-spears-electrifies-femme-fatale-sto/ and Punchjump http://news.punchjump.com/2011/06/26/britney-spears-stuns-as-femme-fatale-at-mgm-grand-in-vegas/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ryanaeon (talkcontribs) 07:03, 28 June 2011 (UTC)

I deleted the Critical response or reception by accident :( I was reading the Onyx Hotel Tour & The Femme Fatale Tour at the same time and I could've sworn when I saw the critical response for the Onyx Hotel Tour, I thought it was wrong since I saw reviews from Femme Fatale Tour, So I accidentally deleted all of it. Sorry everyone & sorry Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jay2009m (talkcontribs) 17:01, 28 June 2011 (UTC)

Photos

Maybe some more experienced editors should add a few photos; we've had enough tour dates and the page looks a bit empty they're plenty of pics out there with free licencing so yeah... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wiki Wonda (talkcontribs) 21:21, 28 June 2011 (UTC)

Shirley Halperin of The Hollywood Reporter in Critical Response should be removed.

Her review was criticized by Britney's Manager Adam Leber for 75% inaccurate. Her opinions shouldn't be included when she reported many wrong details ...Here is Adam Leber's response on his Twitter http://twitter.com/#!/adamleber — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ryanaeon (talkcontribs) 12:15, 30 June 2011 (UTC)

Of course he is gonna defend his client. That does not make her opinion less valid. Xwomanizerx (talk) 18:44, 30 June 2011 (UTC)

Nicki Minaj's and Jessie & the ToyBoy's Setlists

I think you should include at least Nicki's setlist like how it is for the Circus Starring Britney Spears with the Pussycat Dolls. And Jessie sings like 5 songs, and she announced the setlist on twitter and on facebook. Nicki sings 15 songs. I just think you should add them both. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.170.78.123 (talk) 23:30, 1 July 2011 (UTC)

If you can find a reliable source for the setlist, please post it here. Xwomanizerx (talk) 17:47, 2 July 2011 (UTC)

Til the World Ends

There should be an addition to the Concert Synopsis section that includes the fact that Nikki Minaj sometimes performs her piece of "Til the World Ends" live with Britney on-stage, depending on the venue (L.A., Vegas, etc.). It's not always a video backdrop of her singing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.228.237.129 (talk) 13:50, 2 July 2011 (UTC)

Done. Xwomanizerx (talk) 17:47, 2 July 2011 (UTC)

Britney's singing

A number of reviewers have commented on britney's singing, including the life and style reviewer who commented her "strong voice", should this be mentioned? Her past tour was heavily criticized the lipsynching so so reviewers have noted that now she at least ad libs and sings over the playback.bfan72.13.132.68 (talk) 01:35, 1 July 2011 (UTC)

And also a number of reviewers comment on her lip synching to a prerecorded track. So I think the critical reception section is fine the way it is. Xwomanizerx (talk) 02:01, 1 July 2011 (UTC)

It is fine to include that, but it has NO significance over her career and stuff, because she ALWAYS lip-synchs. The reason is obviously because her choreography is too extensive to physically sing to her best through the entire concert at each concert. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Core2012 (talkcontribs) 22:27, 3 July 2011 (UTC) don't understand why the circus page includes the lypsinching rumor allegations and the femme fatale page can't include the praise for her singing...i could provide refs for this, there are some in the critical reception section but i feel it's not enough130.91.61.171 (talk)ccerd —Preceding undated comment added 21:02, 25 July 2011 (UTC).

He About To Lose Me

Has there been any mention of Britney not performing certain songs at some tour stops? The reason I ask is because at the Saint Paul concert she didn't perform He About To Lose Me. Just wanted to know if it has happened in other places so we can find a source for it. --Shadow (talk) 14:55, 7 July 2011 (UTC)

Charlotte/Raleigh tour dates backwards

At first, those were the announced tour dates for Charlotte and Raleigh, but Ticketmaster and BritneySpears.com have been updated to show that the Raleigh show is August 24 and the Charlotte show is August 25. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Davewithak (talkcontribs) 20:39, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

Edit request from Csb3788, 22 July 2011

I attended The Femme Fatale concert on July 20, 2011 in Orlando, Florida. I would like to add the Nicki Minaj set list for the Femme Fatale Tour page.

Not done for now: Until we get set lists for the other opening acts as well I cannot seem to get this to fit into the article that well. Jnorton7558 (talk) 07:52, 24 July 2011 (UTC)

Proper Additional Notes

Drake also performed with Nicki Minaj at the August 14 show. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Colourman86 (talkcontribs) 22:47, 16 August 2011 (UTC)

As the Circus tour ran, the additional notes section contained a wide variety of note worthy and important events that happened at every stop. These have since been abridged to include the select most notable ones, but there are very few key details on this tours article ie. Mishaps and accidents with the wings in TTWE, or Lady GaGa in attendance at Atlantic city etc. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.85.174.193 (talk) 23:41, 10 August 2011 (UTC)

The section barely had sources (WP:RS) and most of the facts were unencyclopedic (for example, Gaga attending the concert). Xwomanizerx (talk) 23:57, 10 August 2011 (UTC)

Setlist

Why are not the video interludes in there? Btw BS dont perform He about to lose me and Burning up anymore. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joe71941 (talkcontribs) 18:59, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

There aren't any sources for any of that. Xwomanizerx (talk) 19:41, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

Setlist

Although no official setlist has been confirmed , these are the songs confirmed to be performed on the tour:

It is very important to mention that the tour is divided by ACTS just like her shows before this are the acts:

Acto I: The Femme Fatale Intro «Hold It Against Me» «Up N' Down» Medley: «3/Piece of me» Acto II: Sweet Seduction Interlude I «Big Fat Bass» «How I Roll» «Lace and Leather» «If U Seek Amy» Acto III: The Temptress Interlude II «Gimme More» «(Drop Dead) Beautiful» «He About to Lose Me»Nota 1 «Boys» «Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know» Acto IV: Code Name: Trouble Interlude III Medley: «...Baby One More Time» «S&M» «Trouble for Me» «I'm a Slave 4 U» «Burning Up»Nota 2 «I Wanna Go» «Womanizer» Acto V: Sexy Assassin Outro «Toxic» «Till the World Ends»

NOTES: ↑ Since July 8th of 2011 He about to loose me was removed from the American League Tour but It will be back on her European League.

↑ Since July 17th of 2011, the Burning up (cover) by Britney spears was removed from the show completely because the huge guitar was causing technical problems. Edits by User:Itsbydesign

I've opened this so we can discuss your edits instead of engaging in an edit war.

  • "In July 2011, Spears announced plans of performing in South America, giving the singer her first appearance in the territory since her 2001 performance at Rock in Rio." Fails WP:LEAD as this information doesn't appear nowhere else in the article. Plus, South America is not the same as Brazil. The previous sentence "In July 2011, Spears announced plans of playing a South American leg in territories she either had never been to or had not played for a long time" sums it up better. I already added the Rock in Rio information to the background section. Xwomanizerx (talk) 03:41, 9 September 2011 (UTC)
    • South America is not the same as Brazil? Last time I checked, Brazil is a country in South America, which is continent. Thus, if her only performance in South America was in Brazil in 2001, her 2011 tour would be her first performance on the continent in 10 years. Despite the grammatical errors of your sentence, it doesn't make sense. It's like saying, "When I go to New York, I will visit places I've never been to before or places I've never seen." Furthermore the lead paragraph is a concise summary of the article. This phrase is no different from saying "This is [artist] first tour in nearly 10 years". The phrase is a main detail of the tour and should be included in the lead. Itsbydesign (talk) 14:11, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
      • I still think your sentence is incomplete. The previous sentence said that she was performing in countries she had never been to. Can we agree on something like this?: "In July 2011, Spears announced plans of playing a South American leg in territories she either had never been to or had not played for a long time. It will be her first performance in the territory since Rock in Rio in 2001." Xwomanizerx (talk) 15:42, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
  • "The tour ranked 55th on Pollstar's "Top 100 North American Tours (Mid-Year)"; grossing over six million dollars with it first ten shows." A source from the commercial reception section is repeated in the lead, and how is this any different from the previous "The Femme Fatale Tour grossed $6.2 million in the first ten shows, and was included on Pollstar's Top 100 North American Tours list."? Xwomanizerx (talk) 03:41, 9 September 2011 (UTC)
    • With a musical artist, their repertoire is their music and concert tours. When a news sources mentions an artist's album, they state how well it charted and how well it sold. Pollstar is the equivalent to Billboard for concert tours (and is a highly respected publication within the touring industry). Just as with their albums, how much a tour earns and it's charting position establishes its notoriety, thus should be in both the lead and commercial reception. It appears you are debating over numbers. Which I see as nitpicky and something that a fan of Spears (oh which you have clearly established you are) would do. Saying the exact total or estimation doesn't divert the fact the tour grossed over six million within that specific time frame. It's like saying "It's hot outside" versus "It's 85 degrees outside". Doesn't change the fact it's hot outside. Again, I'm not going to mention the grammatical errors of your phrase. Itsbydesign (talk) 14:11, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
      • How am I acting like a fan? I guess we can agree on this. Xwomanizerx (talk) 15:42, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
  • The additional note from Pauly D's appearance does not belong in the concert synopsis section, it belongs in the Additional notes section below the dates. See GAs such as Sticky & Sweet Tour and The Circus Starring Britney Spears. Xwomanizerx (talk) 03:41, 9 September 2011 (UTC)
    • What's done in other articles doesn't apply to all. The Madonna article you referenced notates onstage duets with notable figures. I am not going to get into a debate as to whether this debate is notable or not. If the synopsis describes the flow of the show, and this DJ was included in the show, why should it not be included in the summary of the show? Besides the fact you are editing the article to gain some sort of self-recognition. Itsbydesign (talk) 14:11, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
      • He appeared in one show out of seventy-seven. How is one appearance worth mentioning in the synopsis of the entire tour? Xwomanizerx (talk) 15:42, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
        • What makes it mentionable in that section is the routine is basically the same. The only difference is using the DJ in place of a concert attendee. If that is how you feel, remove his mention from the article entirely. Itsbydesign (talk) 14:34, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
  • The focus of the article is the tour, not Britney. Minaj is a big part of it, appears on the official poster with Spears and some critics dedicated several paragraphs of their reviews to her. [1][2] Also see GA The Circus Starring Britney Spears. Xwomanizerx (talk) 03:41, 9 September 2011 (UTC)
    • Doesn't matter. This is not a co-headlining tour. This is a concert tour by Britney Spears that features Nicki Minaj. She is not the main focus of the tour. I am sure people are not paying $300 to see Minaj onstage for 30 minutes. All concert reviews will critique the entire show, including the opening act. That is not a determination in notability. Your argument was "it's source so it should be included". With a cookbook, it may show you information about knife cuts and meat temperatures but the bulk of the cook are recipes--it's main subject. Remember, these are "encyclopedic" articles. It's not viable to have a setlist for Minaj in a article that focuses on a concert tour by Britney Spears. I am okay with the phrase "While on the tour, Minaj performed her popular songs such as...". I have also included the men Minaj has performed with since they are notable figures. If this was a joint tour between Minaj and Spears, this would be a different story. Itsbydesign (talk)
      • I agree with Legolas. There's reliable sources supporting it. Xwomanizerx (talk) 15:42, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
        • Minaj is still a minor detail for the overall scope of the tour. This is not a joint tour. Spears is the main subject, it's only pertinent and notable what Spears performs. Minaj is mentioned several times (as are her guest) and when she performs with Spears. That's where it should end. Itsbydesign (talk) 14:34, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
  • There's already a source for the setlist, no need for two. Xwomanizerx (talk) 03:41, 9 September 2011 (UTC)
  • No need for "Additional sources for dates in South America", either.Xwomanizerx (talk) 03:41, 9 September 2011 (UTC)
    • This is nitpicky as well. There isn't one reliable source that mentions all of Spears' South American dates. That is why there are multiple articles used as sources. The information is grouped to make a cleaner reference list. But, I will not argue with you on minor details.
      • I agree with Lego again. There's too many sources in the section. I guess we could use the one from Britney's website and that's it. Xwomanizerx (talk) 15:42, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
        • Nope, need a source outside of the primary source. You cannot have information divulge from one source. Itsbydesign (talk) 14:34, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
  • An external link to Spears' website adds nothing to the article. Xwomanizerx (talk) 03:41, 9 September 2011 (UTC)
    • Actually it does. It is a reference point for not only Spears but also the tour. The signer (or her team, I assume) provides information on the website, links to Twitter, Facebook, etc. that is more readily available for those who seek that information. It will also contain information concerning the tour that is not (or cannot) be listed on Wikipedia. So, yes, it does add to the article. Itsbydesign (talk) 14:11, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
      • What information is present on the home page of her website that's not here? Xwomanizerx (talk) 15:42, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
        • It's a reference point for the tour and Spears. The actual details may be minor (or silly to some) but it's a place where additional tour information is contained, from Spears and her fans (and I assume people who attended the concerts).

Furthermore, you should know that whenever information is being debated/discussed, the information is not changed or removed from the article until the discussion is closed. So, I have restored the "questionable" edits until this debate is closed. Itsbydesign (talk) 14:11, 15 September 2011 (UTC)

My responses pointwise.
  1. You both are saying the same thing. This is pure copy-edit issue.
  2. The first sentence is just bad English. Use the second sentence, but include the rank.
  3. Itsbydesign, your last sentence in this comment is pure bull-shit so cut the crap. Otherwise, you are right that if a sourced synopsis of the DJ's time on stage could be found, then it should go to the concert synopsis section.
  4. Minaj's setlist should be included if reliable sources are found. She's getting paid for her openings. She's not doing it for the love of Britney.
  5. XWomanizer wins.
  6. You people have heard of WP:CITEKILL right?
  7. If what Itsby says is there in the link to Brit's website, then it should be present per WP:EL and previous consensus at WP:RSN, else remove it.
Hope it helps. Well I'm right always, so.... — Legolas (talk2me) 15:03, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
  • The fact you feel you are always right shows how weak minded you truly are Itsbydesign (talk) 14:34, 22 September 2011 (UTC)

More edits you're reverted:

  • "but he canceled" -> changed to "howver the singer cancelled". Really?
  • "while the hair and make-up was done by Marco Berardini." -> Why did you remove this?
  • "a performance inspired by Marilyn Monroe" -> "inspired by The Seven Year Itch." The designer clearly says that the tour is inspired by femme fatales.
    • So, explain how Marilyn Monroe, a movie actress, is a femme fatale. Explain how Marilyn Monroe, as a movie actress, brought inspiration to this tour. Using a dress from an iconic movie is inspired by the actress? So, everyone who where a top hat and starts dancing is inspired by Gene Kelly? The connection is with the film and not the actress herself. Monroe is not solely (or greatly) known for the scene in the The Seven Year Itch.
  • The Femme Fatale Tour -> The tour. "The tour" is used too many times.
    • This is a basic rule of grammar. A proper noun is mentioned once or twice and continues to be substituted with a noun. Unless you are mentioning a specific place or time or in reference to another proper noun. Itsbydesign (talk) 14:34, 22 September 2011 (UTC)

Xwomanizerx (talk) 15:51, 15 September 2011 (UTC)

Just because your edits are being discussed doesn't mean you get to add them back. The whole point of this conversation is whether or not they should be there at all. So leave them out until you guys have reached a consensus. --Shadow (talk) 20:03, 15 September 2011 (UTC)

3 vs 4

Sorry for the delay, been busy. Ok, so 3 or 4 legs. Obviously with most tours the legs of the tour goes by continents. For the Circus Tour is was four; NA 1, Europe, NA 2, and Australia. Going by the current Femme Fatale tour schedule it would look like four legs. However, 3 is the correct number in this case. Yes Mexico, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic are North American countries, but they are considered to be apart of the South American leg of the tour. That's coming right from Britney's website. Yes the name South America is a bad name representation, but that doesn't mean it has to be discredited for being the wrong continent. Spears and her camp are clearly considering it all one leg. --Shadow (talk) 22:20, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

I agree with you. Continents aren't the definition of what a tour leg is. The dates are being promoted as one, even though they cross between two continents. — Status {talkcontribs  03:05, 13 September 2011 (UTC)
I don't mind as long as there's consensus. Xwomanizerx (talk) 20:27, 13 September 2011 (UTC)
In my opinion "Latin America" is the best way to name the leg. --84.119.17.161 (talk) 20:38, 13 September 2011 (UTC)
That would be the proper name in this case, but the problem is that Latin America is a region, not a continent. --Shadow (talk) 05:32, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
Exactly. Xwomanizerx (talk) 15:43, 15 September 2011 (UTC)

Would anyone agree that If U seek amy was also remixed? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.40.177.85 (talk) 03:26, 14 October 2011 (UTC)

Don't you realize that nothing can be added without a reliable source? Xwomanizerx (talk) 04:47, 14 October 2011 (UTC)

I do and there's no need to be rude. The source for the setlist does not say anything about any of the songs being remixed, so technically none of them should say that. Most of them however do say they are remixed, except if u seek amy, where are those sources? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.40.177.85 (talk) 14:25, 14 October 2011 (UTC)

Sources?

We were not allowed to add that he about to lose me and burning up were only on select dates without a source. But it says gimme more contains elements from get naked, drop dead has elements from inside out, and womanizer and toxic are remixed. There are no sources for any of this information so it should be removed from the setlist! The rules should apply to all. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.40.177.85 (talk) 02:12, 16 October 2011 (UTC)

Setlist Change....help wanted

So the setlist says that after (Drop Dead) Beautiful, Britney performs Boys, and then Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know, before going into Baby One More Time. All sources support this too. However, after watching the recording on the tour on Epix, I noticed that she actually performed DLMBTLTK BEFORE Boys. I looked at my pictures from when I attended the concert in Saint Paul (July 6) and my pictures also show DLMBTLTK before Boys. Now obviously, these are not very good sources. However, I cannot seem to find a source to support this and was wondering if anyone could help me find a source so we can change this. --Shadow (talk) 22:45, 13 November 2011 (UTC)

I can't find a source either, sadly. Xwomanizerx (talk) 22:33, 14 November 2011 (UTC)

haha im glad im not the only britney fan who has thought about this minor detail too! I searched for a source with this setlist order too and couldn't find anything. She performed them in that order in charlotte too. I ordered the dvd it might come with a track listing with it maybe. — Preceding unsigned comment added by May62567 (talkcontribs) 21:08, 17 November 2011 (UTC)

I was thinking too, isn't a set list, the list of songs an artist performs on tour by definition, so wouldn't the description of the interludes go in the concert synopsis anyways? Britney didn't perform any of the interludes they were just videos played. — Preceding unsigned comment added by May62567 (talkcontribs) 21:12, 17 November 2011 (UTC)

Maybe they changed the order on the DVD? Status {talkcontribs 00:07, 19 November 2011 (UTC)

I don't think that is the case though because the concert broadcast on Epix is the same one as the DVD as far as we know and it flowed pretty well. Plus, at the concert I attended she performed Boys after DLMBTLTK. --Shadow (talk) 16:05, 19 November 2011 (UTC)

I don't know if this works but here is a scan of the track listing from the dvd that lists the songs in that order. http://www.breatheheavy.com/xray/displayimage.php?album=90&pid=3813#top_display_media — Preceding unsigned comment added by May62567 (talkcontribs) 14:17, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

For sure we would have to wait until the DVD is officially released to use it a source, but I don't think it should be a problem. MAny albums use the credits in the physical booklet as a source. We'll have to make sure though. --Shadow (talk) 15:57, 20 November 2011 (UTC)
Gives us the correct order for the setlist and the interlude names don't see why we can't use it. http://www.ezydvd.com.au/DVD/britney-spears-the-femme-fatale-tour/dp/6107545 --Shadow (talk) 21:40, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
I strongly disagree. First of all: The tour =/= the DVD. We have two sources supporting the setlist for the original show. If we change the setlist, we'd have to remove the performances of "Burning Up" and "He About to Lose Me" altogether from the page. Xwomanizerx (talk) 22:44, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
No we wouldn't. We include both sources to show that the setlist has changed. Techinally we don't even have a source saying HATLM and BU were removed. Not to mention the DVD is a recording of the tour, so it shouldn't just be dismissed outright. --Shadow (talk) 23:52, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
Two separate setlists because two songs were swapped? I don't think so tbh. Xwomanizerx (talk) 01:01, 22 November 2011 (UTC)
No not two setlists, two sources. Something needs to be done because the setlist currently reflects earlier shows on the tours, not the majority of the tour. --Shadow (talk) 01:54, 22 November 2011 (UTC)

That makes 2 sources though that list the setlist without the two songs. why can't there just be an additional note that says DLMBTLTK was performed before boys, during later shows in the tour? — Preceding unsigned comment added by May62567 (talkcontribs) 20:10, 22 November 2011 (UTC)

  • In fact you're all both correct. At the start of the tour, Britney performed, Boys before DLMBTLTK. However, once HATLM was cut, the order was changed. That's why I think we should just put (later performed in lieu of 'He About To Lose Me') next to DLMBTLTK as it tells what has happened without creating two setlists. This way we still acknowledge the existance of HATLM. Xwomanizerx I think you'll like this idea ;) SpeakerphoneX (talk) 05:05, 26 November 2011 (UTC)

Costume change

I don't know if this is worthy of mentioning, if someone can find a reliable source for this. In recent shows the costume for the last segment of the show was changed. According to breatheheavy, she changed it to be less revealing for some of the countries she was visitng. The costume is now a one piece (No more cut off jean shorts and exposed abdomen). — Preceding unsigned comment added by May62567 (talkcontribs) 14:30, 27 November 2011 (UTC)

Setlist with videos

Hi, I was wondering if now that the Femme Fatale tour has been released on DVD, could the video interludes be added to the setlist? The setlist is fine but I think it would be even better if the names of the interludes could be featured? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.7.242.82 (talk) 18:17, 27 November 2011 (UTC) Just add the source for the names if adding — Preceding unsigned comment added by May62567 (talkcontribs) 21:25, 27 November 2011 (UTC)
