Secretary of State, Kingdom of Italy

edit

What can the following phrase possibly be referring to? " the villa of the Secretary of State of the Kingdom of Italy". There was no 'Kingdom of Italy' in Giani's time. He died in 1823. The southern half of the peninsula was the Spanish Kingdom of Naples, under English guidance. Northern Italy in the eastern half of the Po Valley and down to the Apennines was under the control of Austria (Remember the Charterhouse of Parma?). Where in Paris was there a villa belonging to the King of Italy? I know, this is in one of the sources quoted by a contributor, but it is still bizarre and demonstrably untruthful and misleading. Can anyone help? --Vicedomino (talk) 03:28, 7 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
