Do we know why it is the "Feast of the Pheasant" and not the pie fest or the feast of the elephant or saracen? I have not found that yet.....
There seems to be some confusion over whether the name is the "Feast of the Pheasant", "Banquet of the Vow" or "Feast of the Pheasant's Vow". MartinY 14:39, 29 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
the german language article says it is because a pheasant wearing a golden chain with diamonds etc. was an important part of the show, but don't ask details --Eistreter (talk) 19:34, 8 April 2009 (UTC) Reply
