stop change

hi I want to tell you that you should stop changing capitals All sources say that their first capital was established in Ikjan — Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.102.49.83 (talk) 21:07, 29 March 2022 (UTC)

As I explained in my last edit summary here, your source is a self-published book and therefore not a reliable source (see WP:RELIABLE); more importantly, it contradicts many reliable sources already cited on the page. In addition to adding Ikjan (with incorrect dates), which was only a base before the establishment of the Caliphate and therefore warrants its own discussion, you're also deleting Raqqada and changing the establishment dates of Mahdia, which is obviously wrong. Respect WP:BRD and do not revert or attempt to reimpose your edits, as this would be edit-warring (see WP:EDITWAR for what that means). R Prazeres (talk) 21:31, 29 March 2022 (UTC)
Well, if you see it as a mistake and a source of error, then I will bring you the book of Ibn Khaldun, which is considered one of the oldest Muslim historians in the Middle Ages
(If you don't understand Arabic, that's not my problem)
Ikjan is considered a capital or a region for the emergence of the Kitama revolution to establish the Fatimid Empire, not just a military place
Raqqa, I do not think that it was really the capital, and there is no ancient source to confirm this
After the announcement of the Fatimid Caliphate, the capital was changed from Ikjan to Mahdia 41.102.49.83 (talk) 08:04, 30 March 2022 (UTC)

Well, as long as you don't reply, or maybe you didn't see my comment, it could be a good sign to change the article 41.102.66.174 (talk) 13:14, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
Not quite. When someone doesn't reply, it doesn't mean that they agree with you. Besides, the capital of the first state was "Tazrut" and not "Ikjan". M.Bitton (talk) 13:37, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
As M.Bitton said. Moreover, you (the IP) don't appear to be interested in a discussion at all; you were told that the current information is based on what is written in reliable sources, including well-cited historians who are experts on this topic. You've chosen to ignore them and to even go out of your way to delete some, without providing any arguments or evidence based on reliable sources in turn. I suggest you review the Wikipedia policies I've already referred to above. R Prazeres (talk) 16:21, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
Well, it could be that the first source was non-academic
The second time I brought the books of Ibn Khaldun, who is considered the oldest historian
But it's okay, I won't bring a source, my friend
Prove that it's Tazrut and not Ikjan..Like old books or academic books
And yes at that time I never bothered to discuss because at that time I did not have enough time 41.102.66.174 (talk) 16:38, 2 April 2022 (UTC)

I don't know if that's your way of soliciting a response, but this is not a text-messaging service. Wikipedia is edited by volunteers and runs on consensus. If you reject everything everyone else says without good reason, then, speaking for myself at least, there is no reason to keep indulging this thread. And likewise there is no reason to accept your proposed edits in place of clearly verifiable information. R Prazeres (talk) 18:09, 4 April 2022 (UTC)

Typo spotted

Hello, I believe I spotted a typo. Please do a CTRL+F "During al-Afdal's tenure (1194–1121)".— Preceding unsigned comment added by PointyPenBoy (talkcontribs)

Thanks for spotting it, it is indeed a typo so I've fixed it. On a side note, in case you're new to Wikipedia: remember to add signatures to your comments on talk pages (see WP:SIG). I've added a template to attribute your comment to you. But thanks again! R Prazeres (talk) 22:45, 6 April 2022 (UTC)
