There must be a better picture of him which you can replace the current picture. This just looks ridiculous and barely like him —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.253.47.120 (talk) 04:46, 5 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Turkish decent

edit

Please can people stop deleting the fact that he is Turkish- German as this is begining to get ridiculous! I will keep this page on my watchlist and will be observing what happens... Here are some references of his turkish origins:

  • He called Turkey "my country" when he accepted the Cannes award for god's sake.
Maybe it's only ridiculous to have it in the lede.91.10.47.192 (talk) 14:19, 1 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Rename

edit

Article should be renamed to "Fatih Akin" (ie. written with a latin i). Sources are almost unanimous, here are two that are particularly interesting:

Keeping the ı is clearly original research. 79.223.12.249 (talk) 21:26, 17 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

No hits on Google Books Ngram Viewer for the current spelling: [1]

Akin is German. I'm sure a lot of his ancestors were called Akın, that does not mean that it has to stay that way.
Could you please share your position on the various sources that do spell him Akin?-84.170.88.157 (talk) 18:30, 30 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
There are many pages in Turkish . But to be more specific why don't you try twitter ? Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 14:01, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
