editThe "Christianity" paragraph
editThe passage on Christianity is worded in such a way that it is unclear what it is trying to communicate. There are no citations and seems like it is just an injected opinion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.151.53.30 (talk) 23:55, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
Sentence
edit"As time passes, most of them become convinced that they don't need to exaggerate the influence from archetype "father" and become to admit it." --What does "become to admit it" mean? I think some sentence clarification is needed here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.250.243.165 (talk) 10:31, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
removing POV tag with no active discussion per Template:POV
editI've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:
- This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
- There is consensus on the talkpage or the NPOV Noticeboard that the issue has been resolved
- It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given
- In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.
- This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. Thanks to everybody working on this one! -- Khazar2 (talk) 15:24, 17 July 2013 (UTC)
Adding information to the Absent Father
editI can add more to the Absent Father section.
Together with my colleagues, I will attempt to:
- review recent published studies about the behavioural and physiological impacts of Father Absence on the child
- outline some evidence-based therapies that have been used to deal with such adverse impacts

Suggested edits for the Father Hunger section
editFor the first paragraph:
- Please kindly consider changing the flow to a general-to-specific one:
- i.e moving the longing that is common to all children before the specific problems some daughters face (e.g. narcissism and reliance on external sources of self-esteem)
- Is Maine also a psychoanalytic theorist like most other experts mentioned in this article?
For the second paragraph:
- Please kindly review alternative word choice:
- Herzog ... describes (instead of addresses) the longing experienced by many ...
- Jungians have emphasised the power of parent hunger, which repeatedly forces people to (instead of forcing one repeatedly to) seek out ...
- shifting from anticipating (instead of demanding) parental guidance ...
- Please consider moving the internal father before the lost father within themselves. In this way, it will go:
- One answer men have been offered is to move into generativity; to find "the internal father" i.e. the lost father within themselves, and hand him on to their successors ...
- One answer men have been offered is to move into generativity; to find "the internal father" i.e. the lost father within themselves, and hand him on to their successors ...
Thanks for considering my advice. Ljccrim (talk) 21:20, 1 February 2016 (UTC)
Adding information to the Absent Father
editI can add a section about negative effects of father absence on offspring well being.[1] Under it, there will be a paragraph or more about the relationship between father absence and human sexuality. For example:

Cultural examples
editInteresting section! However, I noticed a mistake in the sentence: "For example, Czeslaw Milosz noted wrote of Einstein" where I'm assuming it should read either 'wrote of Einstein...' or 'noted that Einstein...' Otherwise good page! Dxmola (talk) 07:02, 5 May 2016 (UTC)
- My bad, thanks. Jacobisq (talk) 08:42, 8 May 2016 (UTC)
