Talk:Fashion victim

This article uses "We" as if it applies to all cultures, which it surely does not. I think that should be changed, but I don't know what template to use to tag it.207.200.169.8 (talk) 15:28, 12 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Subjective style

edit

Apart from the aforementioned "we" (which I object to, since most people I know pay little or no attention to fashion at all, except insofar as they despise it and all its works), phrases like "cross the line from the sublime to the ridiculous" followed by "have crossed this line" are surely far too subjective for a Wikipedia article. Whoever wrote this seems to have presented his or her own particular thoughts on the subject as though they were objective truth.213.127.210.95 (talk) 18:01, 16 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Etymology

edit

The claim that Oscar de la Renta coined the phrase is unlikely as it was in use in the 1930's in the same sense. phrases.org.uk — Preceding unsigned comment added by 27.96.192.1 (talk) 04:28, 13 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
