Someone (the article's author perhaps) should say something more about the size of the fan--its more than 100 blocks--and the number of original and contributing buildings in the district (like 3,300), which I think makes it by far the largest Victorian neighborhood in the entire U.S. Maybe a couple more pictures?

I'm pretty sure the largest victorian neighborhood is actually Boston's South End76.24.209.199 (talk) 02:45, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

On that front, though the Fan is well preserved historic district, it is not Victorian in either Time or Predominant architecture, as a casual glance at the dates of construction and the definition of Victorian architecture shows.Charlesaf3 (talk) 05:39, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

RE: Cultural

I wrote it, and agree with the informality - I was putting it in as a placeholder in the hopes that someone would work on it more. I don't think killing it was the right thing, but I'm open to different ways of putting it, as long as the article isn't edited down to the point of uselessness - the location of the main shopping streets can easily be found on google or any other directory, and in general a bit more effort might be more productive than deletion in this case. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.57.49.229 (talk) 05:46, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
