Would this page be about the same thing as Falabella pony? If so, they should be merged. --Pharaoh Hound (talk) 12:33, 1 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Indeed, I have merged them now.
Also, the Finnish Wikipedia article says that the evolution of Falabella as a natural process is a myth, but that it was deliberately bred by cross-breeding Shetland ponies with hotblood horses. ›mysid () 22:24, 23 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'll try to review the text, this isn't a breed that I have a lot of interest in, but NO QUESTION that it was human-developed (I did a bunch of editing over in miniature horse, which mentioned the origins of the Falabella in passing. Montanabw(talk) 00:45, 24 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Falabella is similar to the American Miniature Horse edit

With many similarities, the Falabella is unique like the American Miniature Horse. Although the American Miniature Horses are classified into A-B-C class based on their matured height. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.72.146.187 (talk) 03:16, 9 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Only in-hand edit

Who says Falabellas can jump up to 3 feet only in-hand? Bigger horses jump in freedom too. Pitke (talk) 11:46, 21 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

You really can't expect a three to five year old child to jump fences, ( YIKES! =:-O ) and larger riders really couldn't do so safely, so minis like the Falabella are only shown in hand, not under saddle over fences. Nothing in the sentence says big horses can't also jump at liberty. The ref was that "Falabellas only jump in hand," not "only Falabellas jump in hand." Word order makes a difference here. LOL! Oh I do get it that way, my point was asking whoever thinks miniature horses can only jump if a human holds them by a rope. Claiming that minis jump *only* in-hand (versus in-hand and out-of-hand) is just plain silly. I could take it if it specified that minis are *shown* in jumping classes/somtehing like that only in-hand. Pitke (talk) 09:09, 22 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
Works for me. Montanabw(talk) 05:20, 23 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
