This article refers to another article titled Fairfax Army Airfield, covering AAF use of the field and some of the USAF use of the field. This name is unsupported by a reliable source. AAF station lists for 1 June 1943 and 15 March 1944 both list the installation as Fairfax Airport. The page on military use of the airfield should be merged here or (if a separate military use page is the consensus) moved to Fairfax Airport (Air Force use) or to Fairfax Field. It appears "Fairfax Field" is the name the installation is referred to in AHFRA records. When I wrote the article, that was the reason I used "Fairfax Army Airfield", as it's main use during World War II was a B-25 Mitchell delivery airfield. (In fact, I believe most of the Mitchells were assembled there at what became the GM Plant that made F-84Fs in the 1950s). I'd like to keep the wartime use separate from the civil use of the airfield. "Fairfax Field" would work fine for me, but I would think the military use of Fairfax Airport should be merged into the other article morso than the opposite.
