Talk:FK Velež Mostar

I've finished off the merge from Velez. All the text was merged previously, by the look of it. The page still needs some cleanup, so I've added tag. Kevin 07:42, 15 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Jadranko Topic and the other great legends like the famous BMV deserve some mention...

Fair use rationale for Image:VFC-power.jpg edit

Image:VFC-power.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Ten Best Players of All Time edit

Can someone explain to me why we need to have a section on the Ten Best Players of All Time of this club? The list is completely unsourced (fails WP:CITE), it is in indiscrimate collection of information without any criteria (fails WP:NOT), it is one editor's opinion (fails WP:NPOV). It is completely unsuitable, yet two editors have restored it. Please explain this to me. 94.212.31.237 (talk) 14:51, 12 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

All true, but not having anything about Velež on Wikipedia would be really bad. It was one of the better football clubs in Yugoslavia and has a lot of influence in Bosnia and Herzegovina. AnelZukic (talk) 01:40, 30 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
There needs to be some criteria the selection is based on. Maybe listing only players with a certain number of goals they scored for Velež in the Yugoslav First League? Or players who represented Yugoslavia and BiH while playing at the club? Or both? Timbouctou (talk) 08:56, 30 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
Where is that? FkpCascais (talk) 20:04, 30 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
The original poster referred to the section titled Ten Best Players of All Time seen here. Timbouctou (talk) 20:09, 30 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
Oh, I see, many thanks. FkpCascais (talk) 21:11, 30 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed merge from Red Army Mostar edit

The article Red Army Mostar was proposed for deletion last week - however, this was contested with the rationale "replace prod with merge target, should be reasonably trivial and valid section redirect". Any thoughts on this? ★ Bald Zebra ★ talk 10:40, 22 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Yes. I don't see much useful information there and it is all unreferenced anyway. It should be turned into redirect pointing to FK Velež Mostar#Supporters. Timbouctou (talk) 02:26, 23 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
Done. GiantSnowman 21:26, 20 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
