FC Ryazan (2010) → FK Ryazan – Both Transfermarkt and Soccerway use "FK Ryazan" as the translation/transliteration of the club's name, rather than FC Ryazan. Adding to the confusion, the article at FC Ryazan is a gestalt; despite the lead saying that club folded in 2010, the current roster of FK Ryazan is listed on that page. It is unclear what title should be about the current team. Walt Yoder (talk) 17:19, 5 March 2023 (UTC)

- Oppose - Transfermarkt is not a reliable source, and naming convention in Category:Football clubs in Russia is to use 'FC'. GiantSnowman 20:19, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
- @GiantSnowman: thoughts on whether this article should be moved to (or merged with) FC Ryazan or renamed back to FC Zvezda Ryazan? Walt Yoder (talk) 21:00, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
- It's a separate club (as far as I can tell?) so shouldn't be merged. GiantSnowman 18:38, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
- And which article is about the extant club? If this page is, then it should be swapped to not use a year-of-creation disambiguator. If the other page is, this article is only about FC Zvezda Ryazan from 2010 to 2014, and should be renamed back to that. Walt Yoder (talk) 01:09, 15 March 2023 (UTC)

- Alternate proposal: Leave this article at its current title and move FC Ryazan to FC Ryazan (1995). The two teams' pageviews are increasingly converging, and the two teams seem to have comparable long-term significance, so to my eyes we have a WP:NOPRIMARY situation on our hands. - Additionally, I plan to WP:BOLDly move the current roster info to FC Ryazan (2010), since – as the nominator points out – it's a source of confusion to have the current roster described in the defunct team's article. ModernDayTrilobite (talk • contribs) 15:40, 17 March 2023 (UTC)
