Detergents? edit

"Occasionally, detergents are also used to decrease oil viscosity as a tertiary oil recovery method." This is not true. Detergents (usually referred to as surfactants within the oil industry) do not reduce the viscosity of the oil. They reduce interfacial tension between water and oil, thereby mobilizing immobile oil, leading to a lower residual oil saturation. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.177.48.33 (talk) 14:03, 6 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Transvac advertisement edit

External link at the end is a blatant advert for one product - link should be removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by {} (talk • contribs)

Such a "mudlogger" is known to be sitting on the rig. edit

I removed this sentence following the other mention of a mulogger. Leaving that one in because it at least adds information; something got lost in translation here or it's just repetitive writing. Either way, to me at least it provides no information Elinruby (talk) 14:39, 24 December 2017 (UTC) Elinruby (talk) 14:39, 24 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Microbial Extraction edit

The final sentence's mention of Bio Tech, Inc. feels like an advertisement and probably is not worthy of inclusion, especially as it stands now without citation. RJ0053 (talk) 14:49, 22 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

The Kareem Stage edit

Shouldn't there be something here about WHY the primary stage is called the Kareem stage? I would imagine it is because legendary basketball player Kareem Abdul-Jabbar made the slam-dunk look easy, (so much so that the move was outlawed for a while during his peak). And the primary stage is the easy stage of recovery. But some of the young folk round these parts don't know who that Kareem was! So (if I'm right about the origins of the term) should we be explicit about it? --Christofurio (talk) 15:17, 8 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
