Import==EXPORT

Emport does not have its own article. At Talk:International_trade#Import_needs_its_own_article I suggested creating an exports and imports article. Please discuss it there.-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk  19:25, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

I just reworked the Import page, and I highly recommend we bring that page up to the same standard as Export somehow. The two topics are literally just a change of perspective from each other, so as the guy who wasted the most time on Import, I recommend merging the two. Obviously, I just volunteered myself to improve the joint product. Bagsc (talk) 11:40, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

Comparative advantage

Comparative advantage means that two countries can trade mutually beneficial even if one coutnry can produce all commodities with better efficienty. This has to do with the fact that each country has different opportunity costs in producing goods. Therefore, I deleted the section where it said that comparative advantage does not work when one country can produce commodities with better efficiency. This is actually according to "Absolute Advantage." Plan2a 17:25, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

Merge export.gov into USA section of Export

The US government's website export.gov provides export information. I suggest that article be merged into the export section which discusses US exports. -- • • • Blue Pixel 01:46, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

I think why should not insert all export oriented countries, products and sources to this page. because i don't think that it would be a commercialize thing. as I know about export import plateform which provides good information can be added to this. wheather it is government site or non government site.

as we all here to contribute informations. thanks. -- • • • Limit0

External links for discussion

These external links were in the article, and I've moved them here for discussion. If they were used as references, they should be linked using reference tags to the appropriate text in the article for verification. Wikipedia is not a list of links. We can't list every export-related group here. If gratuitous external links keep being added to this article, I suggest a spam warning message be added to the article. -- • • • Blue Pixel 15:09, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Export Promotion

I've removed the following text from the article. Parts of this text may have potential in this article, but most of it seems to be marketing hype and an ill-concealed list of external links. -- • • • Blue Pixel 15:19, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

  • Now that the Export strategy is merged in, I moved back the above para as a subsection of Export strategy. I copy-edited it, wikified, and made the tone more neutral. Also out of the 4 external links, 3 already had their Wikipedia articles, so I wikilinked them instead. --Mokhov (talk) 23:20, 22 September 2009 (UTC)

> For Small-and-Medium Enterprises (SME) with less than 250 employees, selling goods and services to foreign markets seems to > be more difficult than serving the domestic market. Do you really think so? Take a look for the famous "hidden champions" as the backbone of german export industry and rethink again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.139.72.200 (talk) 14:14, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

Sentance in US section

While reading the article I noticed an incomplete sentance "A foreign-origin item exported from the United States, transmitted or transhipped through the United States, or being returned from the United States to its foreign country of origin is"

I dug through the edit history and restored the sentance to how it had been before an IP editor removed the end of it but while looking at the issue I notice the page linked from the reference doesn't seem to have anything to do with the sentance in question. While I strongly suspect the anon edit was just vandalism or a test edit I can't be postive so I thought i'd bring this to people's attention. Plugwash (talk) 22:37, 19 September 2013 (UTC)
