Questions
editwhat's with the intro? Who is that guy at yankee group? It's clearly an attempt to position after the fact (PATF) and encourage people to fall for publicity (FFP).
Trimming
editOkay, as this article stands now, it's got an awfully link-farmy style.
As Wikipedia is not a linkfarm or directory, I'm going to cut back on the external links to expert network homepages. TenOfAllTrades(talk) 23:04, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
Trimming complete. I note that a number of the homepages were being used as sources for claims in the articles. For example, four or five homepages were listed to support the statement that "The vast majority of expert networks service providers operate on a subscription based business model." That doesn't fly — there are more than five providers, their homepages don't (usually) describe their business model, and we should be referring to an appropriate secondary source to support a claim about the business as a whole. Similar problems applied to many of the other footnotes. I've cleaned them all out; hopefully someone can find proper sources. TenOfAllTrades(talk) 23:16, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
Trimming looks good. I agree that it was getting linky! It looks like you missed one though - I'll get it now. Matsu99 (talk) 17:02, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
Hey, guys -- can you put back the list of expert networks? Leave out the links if you like, but that's the most valuable part of the article. It would be like an article about Internet companies without referring to any Internet companies.
Yes, a list of companies would be greatly useful. After all this is an essential part of the information... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.219.101.176 (talk) 23:11, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
