Rugby Union edit
The statement that there were no matches between national sides in rugby during the 'amateur era' is simply wrong! Rugby union has only existed as a professional sport since 1995, and national tests go back at least a century from that date. Toyokuni3 (talk) 22:49, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
- I suspect they mean that there were no international tournaments or leagues in the amateur era, just individual matches between country sides. But that is nonsense to as the Home Nations (now Six Nations) started in 1883.
