Episode Plot

edit

Why was the episode plot deleted. It is an official episode description and a source is cited.--Emgee1129 (talk) 19:24, 24 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

In the spirit of the previous episode "Cultural References" sections, would a mention of House referencing the movie "Dead Poet's Society" while Wilson talks about his own death be prudent? It seemed a purposely ironic use, as Robert Sean Leonard played a main character in the movie that subsequently kills himself. Just an idea.

Songs

edit

"Keep Me In Your Heart For Awhile" by Warren Zevon Andy_Howard (talk) 18:04, 29 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Also the end song House and Wilson ride of into the sunset: Guy Lombardo "Enjoy Yourself (It's Later Than You Think)"

cultural references

edit

for some reason the cultural references are kept getting reverted and erased on the claim that they are not source. they now ARE sourced, and the claim is that the source is not reliable, minimum explaining, maximum mouth shutting! wikia.com is a fine source, as it's been used on all House episode pages nearly. no one writes academic articles about a tv series. --SuperJew (talk) 19:05, 22 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

I agree with the editor who stated that wikia.com is not a reliable source. That is very consistent with WP:RS which states that "Questionable sources are those with a poor reputation for checking the facts, or with no editorial oversight." Wikia.com, like Wikipedia, has no editorial oversight. And like Wikipedia, anyone can edit wikia.com.That clearly is outside the bounds of WP:RS. (And before someone shouts, "Are saying that Wikipedia is not a reliable source?!", that is exactly what I am saying. Wikipedia would not be considered a reliable source for another encyclopedia that has exactly the same policies as Wikipedia).
And SuperJew needs to stop edit warring. He has already violated 3RR. Cresix (talk) 23:44, 22 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Carpe Diem

edit

Carpe diem is a Latin phrase by Horace. It was used in Dead Poets' Society, but so it was in countless other derivative works during the ages. Claiming it to be connected to the movie only in first place is extremely POV.84.152.17.92 (talk) 03:05, 24 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

It is attributed to Dead Poets Society by a lot of people and also Robert Sean Leonard (actor of Dr. Wilson) played a main part in that movie too. --SuperJew (talk) 16:03, 24 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
