Circus Ponies Notability
The Circus Ponies people seem to want to use this article for advertising, but they're hardly notable. rewrite, 23 January 2010
The existing article seemed to me to be a bit "stubby", and some of its most emphatic information was badly out of date and/or factually wrong. The Evernote software //does// happily work offline as a stand-alone application, with the data stored locally. At least, it did on the two platforms I just tried it on (WinXP, iPod Touch). I was tinkering with it offline for a few days before I decided to add the online service and synch everything up, and it all seemed to be working fine without a net connection. True, their website does tend to emphasise the "cloud" aspect of the software, but that doesn't mean that "cloudifying" your data is compulsory.
So I took a deep breath and rewrote the article.
It could still do with some improvement (does more text need to be moved out of the intro to a separate section?), but that's my edits finished for now. ErkDemon (talk) 23:56, 23 January 2010 (UTC)
Business model
Hm... So where they get their money? Seems like they giving a lot of service and storage for free... but no word where they get their money. Excessive financial info in lede
Most of the data about raising capital should be moved from the lede to a separate section (could be labelled 'Business Model', maybe?). It is far too detailed for the lede and is not contained within the article body. Most users wanting general information about Evernote (like me) will only need a broad generalisation of how the service is funded.

Infobox Template update suggestion request for change and comment
I see that the article has an infobox that lists stable release info about the Windows app/client. I would like it to be updated to lists version info about other devices too like iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Blackberry [if any]. Also, there is a separate official app for Windows 8 using the Windows Store. As i dont know, how to do so, I would like the infobox to point to this page - Template:Latest stable software release/Evernote and somehow display the version info on the article page Evernote, that is. I have seen that a lot of pages indirectly link to these software release templates, and immediately reflect version info changes made on the template pages, on the article pages. I would like to learn how to do so - can anyone help or point me to the right set of resources where i can learn the skill? A lot of such unused templates are lying around. i think i can help fix this and makes article pages more informative and offer up-to-date information regarding software releases. Thanks!
