Talk:Personal Ordinariate
editApart from the Anglo-Lutheran Catholic Church, the article should really consider verifying whether groups such as the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Latvia have ever sought a similar canonical structure to the proposed personal ordinariates. ADM (talk) 18:08, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
- They have not. The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Latvia has observer status at the Porvoo Communion and its closest links are with the other baltic/Nordic Lutheran churches and the Anglican Communion. The Anglo-Lutheran Catholic Church is a completely different animal - an American church, not European; and self-avowedly papist, whereas the ELCL is a post-reformation national church. Bertil Werkström
edit"consecrated ... by Bertil Werkström" - Does anyone have a source on this? I think it was the bishop of Stockholm, Henrik Svenungsson, who consecrated Vanags. https://blogg.svenskakyrkan.se/biskopragnar/2015/04/20/lettisk-biskopsvigning-i-milwaukee/ http://www.svetdienasrits.lv/2014/01/09/20-years-of-archbishop-vanags/
