However, according to the New York Times and Los Angeles Times of the day [1911], as well as the book Bud & Me, the record for crossing the North American continent on horseback was actually done in 62 days.

Er, this isn't much of a ‘however’, unless Conway claims to have set a record by crossing in more than 62 days. — Incidentally, the phrase ‘world record’ is funny here; it implies that the record could be (but has not been) beaten elsewhere! —Tamfang (talk) 09:34, 18 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
