Image:ESC2001.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Interval act problems edit

I've removed the following text from the article under the section header 'Interval Act Problems'

The first song, "Around the World", went off without a hitch, but the air turned distinctly on the blue side when the lead singers, introduced "Barbie Girl", female lead singer Lene Nystrøm Rasted announced "F**k off, Ken" and raised two fingers to the audience. This was followed with another insult, "Get a life will you?" Despite that, the performance continued. The song concluded with another set of insults, including "Why don't you just leave me alone" and "Dirty bastard" accompanied by a "hand masturbation" simulation. This performance was followed by "Turn Back Time", "Roses Are Red", "My Oh My", "Lollipop (Candyman)", and "Doctor Jones". Accompanying the band were Safri Duo, who then joined in with "The Bongo Song" and concluded with "Cartoon Heroes". Despite the swearing and questionable gestures there is no indication that the EBU punished the broadcasters. It should be noted that in 2003, the EBU threatened to pull t.A.T.u.'s performance off the air following suggestions they perform a lesbian kiss / simulated sex act.

I removed it because it's not sourced and I can't attribute any reliable source to it myself. It's also factully incorrect to suggest Lene Nystrøm Rasted announced any of the insults that weren't already part of the song as the song was mimed. The only exception are the two hand gestures but as it isn't verifiable through any external source that Rasted caused any offence by doing this, then insinuating that she did is an opinion and against Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. In fact saying any of the lines of the song are offensive is against guidelines as, in each case, it's an opinion not a fact. Drawing a link between this and the contraversy of a simulated sex act two years later would be against [[Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. |Wikipedia policy]] without changing the perspective and saying someone else made that link in an officially verifiable source. ~~ Peteb16 (talk) 12:22, 29 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Scoreboard edit

According to EBU's own page on ESC 2001, both Bosnia & Hercegovina and Russia gave their 12 points to France, but on the scoreboard on this page, their 12 points go to Estonia. Aejsing (talk) 03:24, 19 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

I have a funny feeling the scoreboard has been vandalised by those pesky IP's. I've been chasing around after some who've vandalised scoresheets on other ESC articles, and strangely enough they too had removed 12 points from Bosnia/Russia and re-issued them to Estonia.
