Construction finally began with the section from Bangor to Olamon, Me. opening in 1868. Wasn't the section from Bangor to Milford already in service? AFAIK Bangor-Oldtown was opened in 1836 by the Bangor&Piscataquis Canal&Railroad Co. and was the first railroad in Maine. --Thogo(Talk)20:34, 2 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
