Made a disambiguation

edit

European Constitution originally redirected to Treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe and later redirected to Treaties of the European Union. Special:Whatlinkshere/Treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe indicates that the latter switch was ill-advised, as almost all inlinks from redirects with "Constitution" in their title intend to refer to the abandoned treaty, not the current collection of treaties. I am making European Constitution a disambiguation page for now; I guess over time more people will use it in the "current" sense rather than the "abandoned" sense. jnestorius(talk) 15:55, 16 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

While we're waiting, there's a whole bunch of links that now need to be pointed to the correct article. Can we count on your help? --JaGatalk 19:54, 16 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
No, they were previously pointing at the wrong article; now they're pointing at a dab page, which is less bad. Bots and tools tend to pick up the dab pointers easily. So, you've already had my help. jnestorius(talk) 22:23, 16 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
Actually, bots and tools don't "pick them up easily". Editors do the work, and it takes a lot of time. Since you seem to be informed about the subject, you could do the work faster than a random editor at WP:DPL. --JaGatalk 00:54, 17 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

This dab page is all very well but as far as I can see 100% of the pages that link here refer to the Treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe which was commonly referred to as the European Constitution, the EU Constitution and so on. As that page already has a hatnote pointing to Treaties of the European Union, this dab page is redundant. That the EU treaties can be described as the constitution of the EU seems somewhat academic. — Blue-Haired Lawyer t 15:22, 17 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Works for me per WP:TWODABS. I've converted it into a redirect to Treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe. --JaGatalk 23:25, 17 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
