Amanda Vincent

edit

FWIW, if anyone wants it, there is a current (2009) photo of Amanda Vincent (now Amanda Villepastour) at Commons:File:Amanda Villepastour 01.jpg. She's now an ethnomusicologist, teaching in the U.S. at Bowling Green State University. - Jmabel | Talk 02:16, 25 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed major edits

edit

Considering my problems with the poor lead section and tone, I've decided to make some major edits to this article, this may result in deletion of considerable unsourced material that I believe to be non-neutral. Interim edits may look unfinished or disorganised and I expect the whole process should take a week to ten days.Shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 04:21, 17 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

I have made at least three major edits and numerous other edits. I deleted unsourced material that I believed to be non-neutral. The singles list is wikitabled. The article is now at B-class, further improvement on discussion of their music and songwriting style is possible.Shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 05:43, 19 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Reverted October 2009 edits

edit

On 28 October 2009, Apeke (talk | contribs) made some edits on this article, see here. I reverted these edits and responded with the following on Apeke's talkpage:

Thank you for your recent contributions to Eurogliders. Unfortunately your edits deleted two reliable sources which I supplied to substantiate my points in the article. You included unverified claims which appear to be non-neutral statements. These statements (and others) had previously been deleted with reasons given on the relevant talk page. You may discuss these issues on that talk page, please do so prior to making your proposed changes.shaidar cuebiyar ( talk | contribs ) 22:53, 12 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Eurogliders. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

  • Attempted to fix sourcing for //www.whammo.com.au/encyclopedia.asp?articleid=327

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}).

This message was posted before February 2018. After February 2018, "External links modified" talk page sections are no longer generated or monitored by InternetArchiveBot. No special action is required regarding these talk page notices, other than regular verification using the archive tool instructions below. Editors have permission to delete these "External links modified" talk page sections if they want to de-clutter talk pages, but see the RfC before doing mass systematic removals. This message is updated dynamically through the template {{source check}} (last update: 5 June 2024).

  • If you have discovered URLs which were erroneously considered dead by the bot, you can report them with this tool.
  • If you found an error with any archives or the URLs themselves, you can fix them with this tool.

Choosing the Name Eurogliders

edit

Hi everyone this is my first update and still trying to understand the process. I thought this was too good not to be listed on Wiki.

I was conversing with Grace Knight on 16 June 2023 I asked Grace how the name Eurogliders was selected. Grace replied: "We were called Living Single and found out there was another band with that name and decided to change our name". "We put up a bunch of words in a hat and the first two that were pulled out were glider and euro".

It would be good to see this included on the Wiki page but I'm still finding my way to do it correctly. CNsylvester (talk) 11:14, 18 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
