The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: page moved. Note I did not cleanup the inbound links and will leave that to the experts. Create a dab page if one is required. Vegaswikian (talk) 22:57, 17 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Harvest MouseEurasian harvest mouse – The term "harvest mouse" is used both for the American genus Reithrodontomys and for this Eurasian species, Micromys minutus. Google Scholar results for "harvest mouse" are mostly about Reithrodontomys, and Google Books results feature both. Thus, there is no primary topic, and "harvest mouse" should be a dab page. The proposed new name "Eurasian harvest mouse" is used on the IUCN Red List. Ucucha 13:21, 10 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

History edit

The beginning of the history section says "and is closely related to the long-tailed climbing mouse (Vandeleuria) and the pencil-tailed tree mouse (Chiropodomys)". The reference is from 1973. More recent research (https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Time-calibrated-phylogeny-of-the-subfamily-Murinae-at-the-division-level-based-on_fig4_317386879) places Micromys closely related to Rattus and very far from Vandeleuria and Chiropodomys, which are not even very closely related to each other. Maybe remove the comment or replace the genuses with Rattus? 157.124.33.7 (talk) 08:23, 25 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
