Etymology of coronata edit

CANBR, Sharr and Short, give coronatus as meaning "crowned.

CANBR:

"ORIGIN OF NAME: Eucalyptus coronata Latin coronatus, crowned, referring to the sculptured opercula.^[1]

Sharr:

coronatus: L c. crowned (refers to 1 the sepals: Dampiera; 2 the fruit with large appendages to the valves: Eucalyptus: 3 the fruit topped by the sepals: Oxymyrrhine; (etc.)^[2]

Short:

crown corona (noun f. 1); crowning coronans (part. B); crowned coronatus (part. A)^[3]^: 150
