I think this article lacks

  • articulation of WHY? (rationale)
  • articulation of HOW? (methodology)
  • criticism
  • depth and breadth

Well, add this to the criticism section! MrASingh 01:13, 24 Feb 2007 (UTC)

Why Ethno?

edit

I can understand the need for some kind of assessment of such matters - but why use the term 'Ethno'!? There is scope for ethnic differences in what the article attempts to make its subject - but to call the whole of the subject matter 'ethnocomputing' for that reason would seem a little uncalled for. Why not call it 'Sociocomputing' or 'Socio-Computational Analysis', etc....

Perhaps the above is a silly comment. Maybe 'ethno' is being used in the correct way here. MrASingh 01:13, 24 Feb 2007 (UTC)

Yes Ethno is the correct usage

Compare to ethnobotany, ethnomedicine, and ethnomathematics: these are all legitimate terms, carried out in the same way we are doing here, with their own journals, specialists, etc. Eglash (talk) 00:49, 26 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
