Talk:Estadio Universitario (UANL)

Capacity edit

Some argue that the capacity of the Stadium is 45,000. However, many sources, including newspaper reviews of football games, and the Tigres official site (the stadium section) and other web sites that talk about the stadium agree that the recognized capacity is 52,000 spectators.

Of course, in concerts, the capacity is expanded, because part of the pitch is used. In other matches, the capacity is reduced because some seats remain reserved. This variation may be the cause to claiming that the capacity is 45,000.

NO, The Reason the Total Capacity is 41,000 and not 52,000 is because FIFA recognized it as 52,000 in the summer of 1986. The Stadium had its last renovation on December 20, 1986. Six Months after FIFA's recognition of its size. Since a World Cup has not been held in Mexico since 1986 fifa isn't going to recognize the stadium at 52,000 Because the stadium does not hold a capacity of 52,000. Tigres.com.mx has actually updated the stadium section stating the capacity of the stadium is currently at 41,000. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.149.104.206 (talk) 03:49, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Stadium and team criticism edit

I have finally went to that stadium this past April 19 of 2005, and let me tell you it is a crappy stadium. Third world at his highest! They make some hideous lunches just between the restrooms, their halls leak sewer water, their security agents are gay, they don't let you enter real food, the parking lot sucks, the players suck, the skyboxes are terrible, the numbered seats are of terrible quality...

Re: This is common in many stadiums in Mexico, including the Azteca, and the Tecnológico... However, it isn't as bad as you say. Lunches are not made between the restrooms, and I have no reason to believe that security agents are gay, and if they are, they do their job ok, so no problem. ¿The players suck? What does that have to do with the stadium?

Then I will fix the stadiums when I become president. Yes the damn "lonches" are made between the terrible restrooms in the stadium, the security agents tried to grab my testicles and I would do my job by deporting them, and despite the high prices the players play like if they do not recieve any payment.

Re: Are you joking? What do the players or the game have to do with the stadium?

Re: Not joking, and well, they were inside the stadium.

Estadio UniversitarioEstadio Universitario (UANL) – "University Stadium" is a common name for university stadiums. enwiki has seven articles on "Estadio Universitario" venues, and eswiki (which has a dab page here) has eight more.
