Someone should add information about the university in the article. --Liface 05:37, 24 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

The result of the debate was move to Essen and merge page histories. Kimchi.sg 07:47, 30 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Requested move edit

Essen, Germany → Essen - "Essen" primarily refers to the German city in the Ruhr Area, but Essen is currently a redirect to the needlessly disambiguated title of "Essen, Germany". Essen (disambiguation) already exists as well. Olessi 13:00, 16 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • Support even in German, de:Essen refers directly to the city, even though there are additional meanings. --Matthead 15:33, 16 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
  • Support, since it does not in fact disambiguate from the other German Essens. I think this is primary usage; even if it were not, this article would belong at Essen, Westphalia. Septentrionalis 17:17, 16 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • I've no opinion about the move either way, but I'll note that Essen had been a disambiguation page until User:Doco did a cut and paste move on January 19, 2006, creating Essen (disambiguation) and made Essen into a redirect. The edit history should be merged whatever the outcome here. olderwiser 13:21, 16 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
The content of Essen before User:Doco did the copy-paste move was so small that I don't think a history merger is strictly necessary but if the closing admin wants experience in doing mergers then this might be a good thing :) Stefán Ingi 15:47, 22 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
