Other Escherichia edit

Where are the other Escherichia species articles? Just because we all have heard of Escherichia coli does not necessarily mean we only want to know about it. Can someone please make them? Even the article says Escherichia coli is not the only Escherichia capable of being a pathogen.

Taxonomy edit

The Taxon Bacteria is a domain, not merely a kingdom. Taxonomists are still debating how to group the 16+ phyla within the Domain Bacteria into kingdoms, but personally something tells me that a Kingdom Gramaffirmata (Gram Positive) and a Kingdom Gramminime (Gram Negative) would be likely to be monophyletic. (A different basic structure of walls and membranes is likely to evolve just once in a biosphere, being a very prominent feature on a unicellular organism.) In any case, I corrected the rank listed in the article. -The Mysterious El Willstro 71.173.60.135 (talk) 04:13, 9 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
