Photo from Grand Staircase-Escalante

The photo and its caption, are from the other corner of the state, the southeast: Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. Utah State Route 12 traverses the north of the Monument.
I couldn't find any other photo to replace it, over in the southwest, in the Escalante Desert.

However, I did find this the other day (I happened to search: "File:Parowan"...at the southeast desert perimeter is: Parowan Gap Petroglyphs Site-(Utah DeLorme Atlas & Gazatteer). About 8 historical photos are listed, 2 from the Petrolyph area.

There's a nice color photo of these petroglyphs here, with a free license. I couldn't find any free photos of the right Escalante Desert. Cheers, Pete Tillman (talk) 00:56, 6 February 2012 (UTC)

Uploaded to Parowan Gap, but it doesn't seem to fall into the Escalante Desert per GNIS --- see Parowan Gap GNIS. Cheers, Pete Tillman (talk) 03:30, 6 February 2012 (UTC)
