Talk:Errol Morris/Archives/2012

Needed updates

I haven't the energy to write about Errol's career from the 90s on. Go ahead! Clotten 21:14, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

Sweet Oscar debate

HEY WAIT A MINUTE...I didn't think the great Errol Morris ever actually won an Academy Award. We need a source, or we need revision.

Ooops, yeah, I forgot about Fog of War. I'm too lazy to double-check this but yeah I think the article is right.

Documentary

He did win the Academy Award. I went to high school with his son before he graduated, and after he won he gave the school a presentation about documentaries, where he also showed The Thin Blue Line. Also, he's the director of the Apple Switch commercial that featured the cult hit girl Ellen Feiss (she went to my school with Morris's son).

Downplaying Abu Ghraib

Ambiguous phrasing

"Morris began researching the case because it related to Dr. Grigson; he was at first unconvinced of Adams' innocence. After reading the transcripts of the trial and meeting David Harris at a bar, however, Morris was no longer so sure."

Morris was "first unconvinced", then he was "no longer so sure". So sure of... being unconvinced? Does this mean he was then convinced of Adams' innocence?

Is there a sourced reference which could clarify this? 66.101.206.254 (talk) 19:57, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
