jnd edit

unless capitalization is a style requirement within wikipedia, "JND" is incorrect: the scientific abbreviation is "jnd" (c.f. Wyszecki & Stiles, Color Science p.489 and following, or Oleari "Standard Colorimetry" p.99). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Drollere (talkcontribs) 16:26, 2 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Wow, interesting, but I'm having trouble w/ that just b/c of best practices in tech comm style usage. On the linked page for Just Noticeable Difference, someone has abbreviated it as JND (in caps). I actually first thought lowercase 'jnd' on this page was a typo! I've always been taught, "on the initial use of an unfamiliar acronym within a document or a section, spell out the full term, and then put the acronym in parentheses." Would you mind if I enclosed the first reference in parentheses?
Life or death decision here. ;) BoyScoutish (talk) 22:03, 28 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Organisation needed edit

This page says Weber is 'the founder of experimental psychology'. It links to the experimental psychology page, where there is no mention of Weber! That page credits Ibn al-Haytham with the title 'father of experimental psychology'. When I have more time, I'll have a go at all this, but would appreciate anyone else chipping in with some reorganisation here. --Birkinstein 02:48, 2 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Dozent/professor in psychology edit

A previous version of this article claimed that the Weber was first Dozent and then later professor of Psychology. I could not find evidence for these claims and have removed them. Troas (talk) 11:22, 17 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
