Epoxy resin weight into MLS help
I was hoping some one could help I'm new to using epoxy I've got here the bottles of resin and a bottle of hardener resin 714 g hardener 286g they are meant to be mixed the correct mixture I want to do a smaller mix but don't have scales how can I measure my resin according to those weights but by mls instead and how can I mix a small amount just to try out out2 jewellery moulds to see how it works could anyone help----
Can someone help me when mixing epoxy resin when is meant to be mixed by weight I don't have the scales wondering how I can make using mls and also what would the measurements be to mix just a small amount to try and test in mould destroying the whole lot basically want to do a practice run a small bit please help Jodielyn80 (talk) 19:00, 5 November 2019 (UTC)
- Unless you have a particularly critical application, just mix in the same ratios by volume as you would by weight. The density of both parts is similar enough.
- I mix small quantities of epoxy (West System, decent stuff) all the time. I rarely do it by anything other than "stickfuls", and that's plenty accurate for good setting. Andy Dingley (talk) 19:08, 5 November 2019 (UTC)
