This appears to be essentially a dictionary definition.
If removed should this be a simple redirect to Endemism or a disambiguation page to Endemism and endemic (epidemiology).
There appears to be essentially no difference in the use of enzootic and endemic, except that enzootic refers specifically to animals. Endemic can refer to anything.--ZayZayEM (talk) 07:23, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

- It is an equivalent term used when referring to non-human animals. Essentially there is no difference, as "endemic" is regularly used in place of enzootic. See my talk above.--ZayZayEM (talk) 02:00, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

Enzoonotic and Enzootic are synonymous? edit
The world health organisation talk about the enzoonotic transmission for example in their discussion of malaria vaccines. Quote "Human malaria is caused by four species of the protozoan parasite Plasmodium (with increasing recognition of enzoonotic transmission of a simian species P. knowlesi)." I take it in this context enzoonotic and enzootic are synonymous?
