Mitigation is a widely used term in the United Kingdom with respect to the environment. I suspect it is used in the same way in other countries where the English-language is widely used. Google ngrams show the term "environmental mitigation" taking off in the American English corpus before in the British English corpus. Semudobia (talk) 10:49, 3 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
