Critique
editWhile the current article provides a small base of knowledge regarding the Environment Protection Act of 1986, there is a dearth of relevant information. What were the economic affects of this act on various citizens of India? Who seemingly benefited from the passing of the act and who suffered loss? Surely with such a major government policy there will be well-documented reactions of "winners" and "losers". One of my first edits would be finding and sharing such examples that illustrate the affects of this policy on citizens.Turn gar (talk) 07:26, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
Success?
editSeeing as how the act was passed in 1986, by now there should have been some kind of analysis conducted on the overall success. Has the policy been deemed successful by environmental protection agencies? Have there been any other events such as the Bhopal Tragedy since the passing of the act? I hope to provide answers to these questions with my edits. Turn gar (talk) 07:37, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
Hostile Reactions?
editOften times, when environmental protection policy is passed, there is backlash from firms that may be regulated and stand to lose profit. Were there any cases of open hostility such as protests towards the passing of the act? Did the general population of India seem to be accepting or angry with its passing? Lastly, I wanted to state that the information that is presented in the article is indeed very neutral. Turn gar (talk) 07:42, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
