Talk:Endovenous laser treatment

The title of this page probably should be changed. "EVLT" is a registered trademark and marketing tool for one of the laser companies- diomed. There are at least 2 other companies making lasers for this purpose, and using different trademarked names. I believe a generic name for this page would be more appropriate- ?Endovenous laser treatment ?endovenous laser ablation. (Vein2 23:31, 7 March 2007 (UTC))Reply

Unreliable source

edit

I can't find the following source on pubmed. They have International Angiology, the journal suggested by the weblink, but they don't seem to have anything by King, Eaton or Featherston, the three names I searched for. Doesn't seem reliable for a medical page. WLU (talk) 19:25, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

edit

We are interested in having our link (evlt.ca) added to this page on Endovenous Laser Treatment and eventually the varicose vein page. We are currently in the process of updating our website (owned by Sigmacon Medical), evlt.ca, to include even more information about laser treatment technologies, additional clinical white papers and trials, other treatment options, video animation and relevant media mentions about the treatment of varicose veins.

We pride ourselves on being a top source of education about endovenous laser treatment and varicose veins for the Canadian consumer market and have owned and operated this site for nearly 10 yrs. Interested parties can easily navigate through our site, learn about what causes varicose veins and how they can be treated, what's new in the media and world of varicose veins, link to authority sites on phlebology, interventional radiology, and vascular health, and even find and communicate with a local clinic that specializes in laser (and other forms ie stripping, sclerotherapy, etc.) vein treatments to learn which treatment is most appropriate for them.

We look forward to hearing from you and thank you for considering our request!

Best Regards,

Adam Cook

American and Commonwealth spellings in the article

edit

While I was wikifying the article, I found that it changed from American to Commonwealth spellings, often for the same words, repeatedly in the article. I went back to the beginning of the article, and I found that American spelling was used in the first version of the article, just one paragraph. I do not know if they have changed the policy or not, or if I have misunderstood it, but I think that you are supposed to go with the first version of the article, except when the article has a regional topic. If anyone objects, you are welcome to undue the spelling changes. I will not be watching this article, so if you want my attention for some reason, please post to my user talk page. It may take days or weeks for a response, but I will visit Wikipedia again, eventually. -- Kjkolb (talk) 04:56, 2 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
