Talk:Elvis Country (I'm 10,000 Years Old)

Latest comment: 6 years ago by InternetArchiveBot in topic External links modified

I always wonder what Elvis could have done if "The Colonel" would have allowed him to become the actor he wanted to be. I have a feeling he could have been a very good actor, maybe even great. I recall the scene in "Jailhouse Rock", where he grabs the girl, and plants one on her, and she snarls at him about his thinking such "Cheap tactics would work with me!" And he says, "Ain't tactics, honey...it's just the beast in me..." He had good instincts, good reaction, and acting is mostly reacting. --Algoma.

Ok.

Intro Needs Rewording edit

Hi! The first sentence as it stands is extremely confusing:

"Elvis Country (I'm 10,000 Years Old) was Elvis Presley's second studio album to be released in the 1970's (the first being That's The Way It Is), which was slated as a live album"

This definitely needs rewording by someone more familiar with Elvis than myself.--80.193.22.182 15:21, 10 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • I've also had to reword it to remove a factual error as it was changed to read that this album was Elvis' 24th LP, not counting soundtracks, and that's clearly incorrect. Up to this point Presley had only recorded about a dozen studio albums, with the rest being soundtracks. 68.146.41.232 (talk) 15:54, 23 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Legacy edition comments edit

I'm probably going to delete the statement about fans being critical of the Legacy edition. For one thing, no source is provided for the statement, suggesting a WP:NPOV violation, and the statement is also factually incorrect considering both Elvis Country and Love Letters were, except for three tracks, recorded at the same June 1970 session. I've place a citation tag and if no one adds to it I'll take the comments out. 68.146.52.234 (talk) 17:07, 12 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
