Martin Ritt? Not Alumnus

I don't know if anyone else noticed this but, the flag of Ohio is put next to Florida, and I believe that its Florida's flag next to Ohio. Fair use rationale for Image:ElonPhoenix.JPG

Image:ElonPhoenix.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Fighting Christians

The origin of the Elon nickname "Fighting Christians" is unclear. I just corrected the entry to reflect that the name was in use in the 1920s (earlier than was initially suggested). The teams were called the "Christians" during the mid-1920s, with "Fighting" added later on. See the Elon College student newspaper from October 3, 1923 for the first use of "Fighting Christians" that I could find: http://library.digitalnc.org/cdm/compoundobject/collection/newspapers/id/86039/rec/3. An image used in this article, File:Elon Alamance.JPG, has been nominated for deletion at Wikimedia Commons in the following category: Media without a source as of 30 November 2011 What should I do? Edit war to add "American" to lede sentence

Jax 0677 has begun an edit war to insert "American" into the lede sentence of this article. That seems to be completely unnecessary and isn't included in virtually any of the other articles about colleges and universities in the U.S. (I don't think nationality is commonly included in articles about institutions on other countries, either, but I don't usually edit them so I won't claim familiarity with them). The location is clearly identified in the sentence already; it even has its own article that is linked from the sentence in case readers really want to know more.

And why did you begin an edit war over this instead of opening a discussion after another editor reverted your first edit? ElKevbo (talk) 21:02, 24 June 2020 (UTC)

Still seems unnecessary but not a bad compromise.

Minor edit

I removed this - "and about 41% of students are male" - from the Student section. Surely anyone reading this article should be able to figure out a percentage.
