There is no primary source support for the claims made by the cited genealogies. This "Sir Ellis Hicks" seems to be based on a distorted family tradition dating from the 18th or 19th centuries. He seems to be based on hazy recollections of real person who lived in the 1600s. In general, self-published genealogies should not be considered reliable sources, and very few of them turn out to be reliable on close investigation.
